Welcome to Fernleigh. Nestling in a short private road in Millans Park  literally minutes from the very centre of Ambleside with everything it has to offer!

 

Fernleigh is neither too large for those wanting a romantic break or too small for the family group.

 

Attention to detail has not been spared in the preparation of this property. Stripped and solid oak floors with sumptuous rugs, wood burning stove and granite topped kitchen units 'bling' the ground floor. Upstairs you will find romantic bedrooms with spectacular views of the fells and the luxurious house bathroom.

 

The rear garden has table and chairs. The front garden enjoys the afternoon and evening sun.

We are certain that you will love Fernleigh and want to return.

 

This is a 'all the year' around property where you can relax in the winter with everything on your doorstep and a fabulous place to return to after long walks over the fells.

You can simply park and ride from this property. Ambleside enjoys fabulous travel opportunities.

This traditional terraced house situated in the centre of Ambleside (behind the Glass House Restaurant) is on four floors. The front door leads from a small garden into a hall thence to the  Lounge with west facing bay window with window seat, wood burning stove, polished wood floor with full sized rug and sumptuous sofas. Digital TV and DVD player.

The Dining Room is off the hall and has new polished solid oak floor, substantial dining table and window looking onto the garden and patio and beyond towards Wansfell. Digital TV.

The Kitchen leads off the dining room and is fully fitted with granite work topped units with dishwasher and fridge amongst the many appliances. The slate floored kitchen leads into a rear garden with views of the fells.

On the half landing you will find the fully fitted Utility Room with gas central heating boiler, washing machine and drier together with a further fridge and freezer. The room is further equipped with a sink and cupboard space.

Off the first floor landing you will find the fabulously appointed fully tiled House Bathroom with free standing roll topped slipper bath for those luxuriant moments. There is also a free standing shower with 'drench' fitting......and of course the usual WC and enormous wash basin.

Along the landing is the Master Bedroom facing west with views of the fells. The huge floor to ceiling mirrored wardrobes reflect those views and give adequate storage. This bedroom with king size bed has personal fully tiled en-suite shower (huge) and WC with wash basin. Digital TV.

On the second floor the Front Bedroom again has another huge floor to ceiling mirrored wardrobes reflect those views and give adequate storage. This bedroom with king size bed has additional natural light from a Velux window with views of Loughrigg. Digital TV.

The Third Bedroom faces west with fabulous views of Wansfell. It has a single bed, free standing hanging space and drawers. .

Parking.

Please note there is parking directly outside the property for one car. This is an un-made road and not adopted as public highway. In effect it is private parking outside the jurisdiction of the traffic wardens. However, it is possible that visitors will park in this private area despite the space being cone protected. Local residents and adjoining owners respect personal rights.

In addition we provide a Visitor's Permit allowing parking for one vehicle in the neighbouring streets. The public highway parking restrictions apply between 10am and 6pm. We provide a pass to display in your vehicle. This must be returned at the end of your visit.

Heating

The house has full gas central heating. There are no additional costs in this respect. We do not provide fuel for the wood burning stove in the lounge.

The property is double glazed throughout.

We have tried to create a most comfortable environment based upon our experiences in letting our other properties in Clappersgate and Grasmere. We have improved this already wonderful property providing all those features that we believe you would expect. The property has been full decorated internally using and taking inspiration from Laura Ashley products. We believe you will not be disappointed.
